David Wilson and the Summer Husbands

David Wilson - Guitar and Vocals
Ed Roessler - Bass
Paul Sherrard - Drums

David Wilson and the Summer Husbands started as a musical challenge. When Wilson's band Miss Ohio was forced to cancel a gig on short notice, he decided he would round up some friends and play the gig anyway. The primary stipulation was that the band would play all original material written in the month between accepting the gig and playing the gig. Wilson rounded up Miss Ohio bandmate Ed Roessler to play bass and friend Paul Sherrard to play drums. Marathon songwriting sessions ensued, culminating in a set of 9 original songs that range from Americana to indie-rock to '70s inspired singer-songwriter.  The band would go on to play sporadically around the tri-state area when Miss Ohio was inactive, and now present the recordings of the first 4 songs on this self-titled EP.

These songs here are contemplative, often quiet, probably best listened to alone, probably best listened to late at night. They obsess over lots of things, but mostly the passage of time. They look back to where we came from and wonder how we ended up where we are. Occasionally they wonder where we are going.
